Indian SPEL achieves record profit in Q1 |

CHENNAI, INDIA: SPEL Semiconductor Ltd,
India's first and only IC assembly and test company, exceeded
expectations yet again on a quarter-on-quarter comparison. |

Announcing its unaudited results for Q1
FY 2008-09, SPEL reported sales of Rs. 218.30 million (46 percent growth
compared to same period last year) with profit after tax at Rs. 20.48
million (238 percent growth compared to the same period last year). |
|
|
SPEL is confident of further
consolidating its position, as the full revenue stream of the
investments made during FY 07-08, is expected to be visible during the
current FY 08-09. SPEL is also planning further investments during the
current year for its capacity expansion to meet existing and new
customer requirements. |
