Mr. Ar Rm Arun was invited to speak at the Nation Conference on “ Emerging Trends in Communications, Computing and Networks on Apr 5, 2007 at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Thandalam , Chennai. This conference was organized by the Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering.

Inaugurating the Conference, Mr. Arun delivered the Inaugural address in the form of a presentation. The conference was aimed at academia – Industry interaction. Technical Papers from various colleges and industries were to be presented in this 2 day conference.

In his speech titled – India : Looking to the Future, Mr. Arun first spoke about the opportunity at hand in India. He listed out the various strengths of the current economic momentum. His second section focused on convergence, bringing together Communications, Computing and Networks. He presented the information explaining how the industry views convergence globally and within India. Calling his last section as Keys to unlock the future, Mr. Arun presented the importance of Values, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He exhorted the students, faculty and the representatives from industry to create their own path without compromising on Values, while understanding the importance of innovation to growth and the need to inculcate the Entrepreneurial spirit.

Dr. V. C. Ravichandran, Prof. Dept. Of ECE Anna University Chennai gave a special address after the inaugural address. The session was chaired by Dr. (Mrs). Thangam Meganathan, Chairperson of Rajalakshmi Engineering College.
