“Being the first & only Semiconductor IC Assembly &
Test facility within India, SPEL is aware of its unique position and the
responsibility that comes with it. We have well represented India for
over 18 years, with our proven track-record in Customer Service,
Quality, Delivery & most importantly Profitability. SPEL has over 30
Customers globally - we greatly appreciate their business and we look
forward to growing with them.” - Mr. Ar Rm Arun, Vice Chairman SPEL |

“SPEL was started with a vision to encourage electronics in India. India
is talking about Semiconductors for only the past 2 / 3 years now and
this is thanks primarily to the efforts of the Union Government. It is
however very important to note that SPEL has been a stalwart in this
industry within India for 2 decades now – SPEL is deep rooted in this
field, having a state-of-the-art facility and globally respected for its
delivery capabilities.” – Dr. A. C. Muthiah, Chairman SPEL |

|
|
“Building more advanced
semiconductor packages in India will stimulate the development of the
semiconductor supply chain and eventually improve the core competencies
of India’s entire information technology industry.” – Mr. Sam Varghese,
CEO SPEL |
|
|
|
“IOB is happy to be instrumental in funding this new package and we look
forward to a great future for SPEL” - Mr. T. S. Narayanasami. |

The Finance Minister Shri. P Chidambaram said he would live up to his
promise made in his budget speech on incentive package for the hardware
industry. ``My intention is to keep the promise,'' he said. A fiscal
package for the hardware industry would be out in a few weeks from now.
He expressed the optimism that the hardware industry in India would
reach the position that software had scaled now. It took 15 years for
the software industry to do this. This should happen in a much shorter
time frame in the hardware industry, he said. |
