Welcome speech by Mr. Ar Rm Arun, Chairman - SICCI Technology Committee

India Semiconductor Association (ISA) & The Southern India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI) organized a Panel Discussion on Strategies for entering new markets in semicon and electronic hardware – India and Taiwan on Aug 28, 2006 at Hotel Taj Connemara, Chennai, India.

The proceedings were started off with an welcome speech by Mr. Ar Rm Arun (Chairman – SICCI Technology Committee). He presented the global & Indian scenario for the Semicon & Electronics Hardware ManufacturingHe highlighted that while India was booming, Tamil Nadu was definitely zooming.

The Panel discussion was initiated with Dr Anand Anandkumar - Managing Director, Magma Design Automation who was the moderator for the evening. There was a good mix of audience with majority of representatives from IT Hardware Manufacturing Companies, Semiconductor Industry, PC Industry, & EMS. There was also representation from Govt. departments, banks, Financial Institutions, and other allied industry sections.
